A Local Collaboration: STAGE X Silver Lining

We are all about supporting local. Local ingredients, local production and local collaboration. We strongly believe that if everyone put just a little more effort to support those within our communities, we would all prosper. We do business by the mantra, a rising tide lifts all boats. 
The best part? Supporting local = better products. That is why we just had to collaborate with Silver Lining Costume Design on our latest photoshoot. From costume design to creative vision, working with Julia DeBartolo, owner and designer of Silver Lining, was a dream.
We decided on a industrial meets glam photoshoot concept and found the perfect location with This Open Space, Toronto. Large grid windows, white walls, plants on plants on plants AND unlimited natural light.

A creative’s glory.
Under the makeup creative direction of yours truly, we wanted to showcase our simple BUT innovative makeup looks (all with glitter, of course!). We know that unique makeup design does not have to be complicated. Check out our three looks: 
The minis. 
pink lips. pops of colour. glitter hair. 
The inters.
the classic red lip. smokey eyes. glitter liner looks.
The seniors. 
innovative liner looks. Burgundy lips. Gold glitter pop. The girls on the shoot called themselves the lip ring gang- I dig it. 
Now let’s talk about these costumes! 
Silver Lining Costume Design is a place where cutting edge design meets functionality. Having started dance at the early age of three, Julia has over 15 years of experience in the competitive dance world; her line is made for dancers by dancers. So, she gets it. She gets what it’s like to have to actually dance in these costumes and the fact, that you probably have to purchase upwards of 10 costumes a year- her price point reflects this understanding. 
We asked Julia what we could expect from her 2017-18 collection and what she was most excited for this season…

“Our 2018 Catalogue is our most fashion forward collection yet! We really tried to pick up on key trends and incorporate them into our designs. This collection is our biggest yet and I’m very excited for it to share it with everyone in the next couple weeks! 

Im super excited to launch our new collection BODY by Silver Lining! It will be available in our 2018 Catalogue. Its a collection of 7 unreal bodysuits which are gorgeous as they are or perfect to decorate.”
